There’s something truly special about welcoming back a piece of your own history. This year, we had the rare opportunity to do just that.
In 1963, Gib’s RV sold a brand-new Aristocrat Lo-Liner trailer—an innovative and compact travel trailer built by the I.B. Perch Company. More than 60 years later, that very same trailer found its way back home to us. Still in immaculate condition, it was a no-brainer to bring it back into the family.
Our service team spent the winter months carefully restoring this vintage beauty, honoring its original design while giving it a little extra love and polish. From its iconic drop axle to its retro charm, this trailer is a snapshot of RVing history—and we’re proud to have it as part of our story.
We’ve given this trailer a new purpose at Gib’s: it's now our official mascot and a rolling reminder of where we came from. You'll spot it at local events, shows, and maybe even out on the road, turning heads and sparking conversations.
A Bit of Aristocrat History
Aristocrat trailers were manufactured between 1956 and 1974 by Irving Perch in Morgan Hill, California, and later Weiser, Idaho. The Lo-Liner model was especially popular thanks to its unique design. It featured an optional metal wheel set and drop axle, allowing owners to store it in low-clearance garages—a forward-thinking feature for its time.
Sold in both 13′ and 15′ floorplans but licensed as 16′ from hitch to tail, the Lo-Liner was a compact marvel packed with personality. Today, it stands as a beloved icon of vintage RV design.
See It for Yourself
We debuted our restored Aristocrat at the Bay Area Home Show and it was an instant crowd favorite. With its classic styling and glowing interior, it drew in visitors eager to step back in time and share their own memories of camping trips gone by.
We’re honored to bring a little nostalgia to our community—and we’re just getting started. Keep an eye out for this one-of-a-kind trailer at future events. You never know where it might pop up next.
