Gib’s RV will be donating $100 for every RV sold in the month of May to Bryan’s Home/Operation Rebuild Hope. We are committed to giving back to the community that supports us. Supporting Veterans in our community is something that is near and dear to us. We have seen the great things that Operation Rebuild Hope has done in our community. The idea of giving a hand up, not a hand out is something we believe strongly in.
“We are excited and so very grateful to be in a position to give back to our community in this way,” commented Lisa Larkin, owner of Gib’s RV Superstore. “May is the start of our busy season. A fundraiser during Memorial Day month ensures we will be able to maximize our donations and garner extra donations from our amazing customers and friends.”
In addition to donations, our hope is to raise awareness for the struggles that Veterans go through in our community. According to Operation Rebuild Hope, Veterans make up roughly 7% of the total population for the United States yet make up 12% of the total homeless population. These statistics are horrifying to us. These men and women served our country and protected our freedoms. It’s only right that we give back to them and support them when they need a help up.
We are very encouraged by the mission of Bryan’s Home. We know as a business, and by living in this community how hard it is to find skilled labor. To see an organization be dedicated to training and giving skills to Veterans that will allow them to seek skilled trade jobs is huge. We can’t wait to see how this program affects our community and all Veterans involved.
